The simple secret of marriage I was told once

We got married 13 years back. Then he was working offshore, so we had to travel immediately after marriage. Everything was new to me other than my same old lover boy who is now husband. I knew his friends over there but not on a personal level. So I was very anxious the day we left. When we landed there were at least 10 people were waiting to welcome us. That overwhelmed me. The welcome they gave, the changes they have done in the house and the awesome dinner we had that night was just too much than what I had expected.

But then out of all of them one had become very close friend of mine. We had spent lots and lots of night just sitting and chatting in the beach. One day after a fight with my husband (yeah we have had quite a lot of them) I took my car and went to her house. After a long chat again when I was ready to leave she asked me “are you going to end your fight now?” I said no it’s not my fault. She immediately said “this is a very simple and small secret I am going to share with you and hope you will follow it”.

Always end your fight or argument before going to bed. It’s just not worth it.

Though I didn’t follow it then as I was very angry at my deary, but now I know what she meant and I absolutely love her for that one small advice. Now I tell my friends the same thing.

So this I how I follow it :). I fight with him I make it up with him, I fight with his parents I make it up with him, I fight with my parents I make it up with him, I fight with my kids I make it up with him and that’s how it works in a marriage.

Ideally what I am suggesting is we have to fight a lot and make up a lot J.
